The project covers an area of 517 mu and plans in two phases. Covering the waste-producing units in Yuyao, Cixi, Hangzhou Bay and Ningbo and even the whole Zhejiang Province. After the completion of the second phase, the total treatment scale will reach 200,000 tons/year, which will become the benchmark project for comprehensive treatment of hazardous waste in China, marking the longest continuous operation time and minimum emission standards and is also one of the largest comprehensive treatment projects. The superheated steam (30 bar 360 °C, about 11.5 t/h) generated by the single incineration line of this project will be sent to the energy recovery system and a heat exchanger will be used to supply steam to industrial users around the industrial park.
In addition, the project will also install the dioxin continuous sampling system and vigorously strengthen the control and supervision of dioxin emission.
The IEA emission standards of this project strictly implement the 2010/75/EC limits, far exceeding the current domestic implementation of GB18484-2001 Chinese limits.
The plant is composed by stabilization workshop, landfill area and other necessary auxiliary facilities. The total capacity is 66,000 ton per year and designed to operate for 35 years. The landfill will be built in 2 phases, the capacity of first phase is 955,000 m³and effective capacity is 815,000 m³. Phase one is designed to operate for 13 years. The capacity of second phase is 162,700 m³and effective capacity is 1,407,000 m³. It is designed to operate for 22 years. Effective capacity in total is 2,222,000 m³.
